Our team partnered with Tectura Architects
to support the client’s vision to provide a holistic model that would meet the physical, social and spiritual needs of patients. This hospital facility features an education centre and AV seminar room, radiology room, gymnasium and loading dock along with residential and office space.
Sustainable design was at the forefront of our team’s decisions and was ultimately achieved through the thermal mass provided by reverse masonry construction and enhanced insulation. The infloor slab heating and cooling ensures a user-controlled temperature year round. Water efficiency and sensitivity outcomes were achieved through rain harvesting and swale-based stormwater drainage.
