Working closely with the client and architect, our team transformed an existing brownfield site into a new multipurpose shopping, commercial and residential complex located on a major arterial road in the eastern Auckland suburb of Pakuranga.
Calibre Consulting provided the structural design, construction supervision and sign-off for the new building, as well as traffic and civil engineering design and site supervision services for the existing arterial road and site access.
As the site originally had an alternate zoning use and was located in an established residential area, extensive affected parties consultation, authority consenting and regulatory approvals were required to get the project to construction phase. The changing use of the building also resulted in our team managing and facilitating fit-out change during construction.
The development has provided the area with additional shopping, commercial and residential facilities, positively revitalising a once derelict site.
